Auto-labeling for Microsoft Azure Storage and Azure SQL has paused its GA release. It allows extending sensitivity labels to various Azure and non-M365 data sources via auto-labeling policies. Public preview was planned for July 2025. Admins can configure labeling by default; some older labeling methods will be deprecated.
