Microsoft Teams is updating to include enhanced chat contextual information and search capabilities. Rollout begins late July 2024 for Targeted Release and will be globally available by mid-January 2025. This feature, which is on by default, allows users to access chat info such as People, Pinned messages, Shared files, and links, and search within chats. No admin action is required for the update.
