Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention will decouple policy tips and user email notifications for SharePoint and OneDrive, allowing admins to enable either or both independently. Rollout begins late May 2026 with general availability by mid-July 2026. Configuration will be via PowerShell or Purview DLP settings.
