Microsoft Purview Information Protection introduces a new Protection Policy feature for label-based protection on Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake Gen 2, Azure Blob Storage, and Amazon S3. General availability begins late August 2025. Public preview is free, with pay-as-you-go pricing post-preview. Create policies via the Microsoft Purview Portal.
