Microsoft will disable creation of classic publishing sites and pages in SharePoint Online starting March 1, 2027, and make existing classic user-created pages read-only by October 1, 2028. Custom scripting will be disabled. Organizations should assess usage and plan phased modernization to modern SharePoint experiences.
