Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Direct Export will support Customer-managed key (CMK) encryption for tenants with Data Encryption Policies via MDEP. Starting early May 2026 (preview) and September 2026 (GA), export packages will be automatically encrypted with tenant-owned keys, requiring tenant request to Microsoft Support. No user experience changes.
